... Oredo LGA Chairman speaks on imperative of Continuity


 As the 2019 Alaghodaro kicks off today, the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde, speaks of the core socio-economic vision propelling  the concretization and the acceleration of Alaghodaro, the people-focused comprehensive developmental philosophy guiding the unprecedented  progressive agenda of Governor Obaseki.
Hear him, "Governor Obaseki’s emergence in the affairs of our state in the spring years of the 21st Century  can only be described as providential. Within a short space of three years, Edo people are unquestionably today feeling the progressive impact of the Governor’s steady and speedy revolution in education, industrialization, agriculture, healthcare, job creation and enhanced welfare of the citizenry in general. These endeavors represent the contextual translation of, Alaghodaro, as the essence of collective progress and a leap forward in the affairs of the people.
"It is politically refreshing to work with a leader whose existential definition is projected on finding means to advance the wellbeing of the citizens he governs. As the Chairman of a local government, I can testify to the kind of policy direction and moral inspiration that the Governor constitutes in ensuring that third tier administrations freely and  genuinely fulfill their constitutional mandates as grassroots horizons in the Federal tripod structure.
"There is definitely a momentum of progress that the electorate as the ultimate sovereign of our Democracy and the Almighty who listens to the voice of the people, these agencies will not allow the disruption of the providence-guided journey of continuity in Edo State’’.

There is no iota of doubt, irrespective of political differences, that Governor Godwin Obaseki has significantly improved State Competence, relative to his predecessors and across the States in the Country.  To achieve this, he had to rescue the State from private capture by ruthless non-State actors; this freed up public resources for public purposes.  He has held himself to a very high ethical and work-ethics standards, scrupulously focusing on the interests of the real people whilst staying on the Constitutional tracks in line with his oath of office.
