Ban on open grazing: EPIA hails South/South Governors
By Isaac Eranga Benin City: Edo Indigenous Movement (EIM) also known as Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), has lauded Governors from the South/South region of Nigeria over their unanimous decision to ban open grazing in the region, in line with Edo Indigenous movement call for open grasing in Edo,This commendation was made by the President and Founder of EPIA, Chief Dr Bishop Omogiade Enoyiogiere Edokpolo while briefing newsmen on the state of the nation in Benin City. According to the Edo indigenous leader, the destruction rendered by open grazing by herdsmen, is wanton. He said apart from the destruction of farmlands, it has led to the killing and maiming of many persons who are mainly indigenes.
