Obaseki assures on upgrade of healthcare facilities, construction of specialist hospitals in three senatorial districts

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has assured residents that his administration will sustain investment in the state’s healthcare system, ensuring the delivery of affordable, quality and efficient health services to the people. The governor, who spoke to journalists in Benin City, noted that his government has built a more resilient system involving all relevant stakeholders in the health sector and empowering them to respond to challenges faced with the outbreak of the COVID-19 crises. Obaseki reassured that ongoing reforms in the health sector will ensure the attainment of Universal Health Coverage for all residents, pledging to sustain investment in the sector. He said the state government will continue with the upgrade of more primary healthcare facilities in the state and build a network of specialist hospitals in the three senatorial districts.   Mr. Okundolor behind the Referees in one of his official outing as a Premier League Referees Assessor Benin City: The Chairman of Edo Football Referees Council- Mr Johnbull Nosa Okundolor said the welfare of Edo Football Referees was  number one in the list of goals set out for 2022.  Mr Okundolor disclosed this in Benin while fielding questions from Journalists as part of his New Year message. He said though the Council had contributed in the past, to the welfare of Edo Referees, in 2022, the Council would intensify its effort in that direction. "The welfare of our Referees can never be compromised because it will help boost their morale as they go out to officiate matches, thereby becoming worthy ambassadors of the Council.
