Labour Party Slams Agho Blessing For Her Bad Vices, Demands retraction Of Libellous Allegations

 Benin City: Edo State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has demanded an unreserved apology from one Ms Agho Blessing who has been running berserk on social media, spewing venom and acerbic libellous allegation against the national chairman of our great party, Comrade Barrister Julius Abure.  The state chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi descended heavily on Ms Agho Blessing over her primitive, baseless and scorched earth criticism of the celebrated national chairman who has helped to nurture the Labour Party along with other patriotic leaders of the party over the last three decades without blemish.  "Hon. Build Peace, the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria has kicked against all forms of discrimination against women.  Speaking during a visit to some women groups who converged at Ossissa, Ndokwa East local government area of Delta State, the National Coordinator of WANEP Nigeria - Chief Mrs. Bridget Osakwe said it was time to end all forms of discrimination against women. Elizabeth Ativie has debunked the rumour that she gave the leaderships of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State chapter, and the Labour Party the sum of 25 million naira each in order to influence the parties' House of Representatives nomination for  Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency in  the forthcoming 2023 general elections. Female traditional ruler in Delta proffers solution to insecurity in Nigeria

By Isaac Eranga Asaba: A revered traditional ruler in Delta State and the Omu of Anioma/Okpanam - Her Royal Majesty - Obi Martha Dunkwu, has called for the inclusion of women in the issues of peace and security, saying that is the only way to secure peace in Nigeria.  The Omu stated this when members of the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), Nigeria led by the Natiomal Coordimator - Chief Mrs. Bridget Osakwe, paid her an advocacy visit in her palace at Okpanam.   The Osezuah Ikhine's family of Uromi in Esan North-East local government area of Edo state has announced the untimely death of their daughter, sister,  Mrs Stella Ugboke (Née Osezuah) in the early hours of Monday 20th September, 2022. In a statement issued and signed by Engr Abraham Oria Osezuah, a brother to the deceased  and Foremost chairmanship aspirant in  Esan North-East in the Edo State  Local Government Council Elections. The statement read thus: "It is with heavy heart  we announce the death of our beloved Sister, wife, mother, sister, aunt, Mrs Stella Ugboke (Nee Osezuah ) who slept in the Lord on the 20th September 2022". She gave up the ghost after a Protracted illness at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. Until her death, she was a business woman, house wife and a woman of God  She is survived by a son , four daughters, husband , mother, brothers and sisters  The burial arrangements will be announced later

Eddy Erhabor The Police in Padova, Italy has commenced investigation into the activities of a Nigerian who has been engaging in illicit, violence  and criminal acts in Padova, Italy.  The Nigerian identified as Eddy Erhabor was alleged to have committed series of havoc in Padova and some cities in Italy following his violent nature in most shops in the area.  The said Eddy Erhabor who brandished paraphernalia of a secret cult group was alleged to have stormed a drinking shop in Padova, Italy on Saturday 18 September, 2022 where he allegedly engaged in a public fight with dangerous weapons , forcing everyone in sight to escape for safety.  The said Nigerian also attacked the owner of the shop.  A distress call was immediately put across to the Carabinieri, a  national gendarmerie of Italy who primarily carry out domestic  and foreign policing duties. .....A 7-Man Committee inaugurated By Isaac Eranga Ahead of 2023 general elections, a non governmental organization "Fostering Achievement of Community Empowerment Initiative" (FACE Initiative) in collaboration with National Democratic Institute (NDI) and USAID has inaugurated a 7-Man Committee of  "Vote No Fight " in Edo State to recruit volunteers who would spread the message and coordinate LG and ward advocacy campaigns. Inaugurating the 7 Man Committee, the program officer of FACE Initiative, Mrs. Bogofanyo Inengibo charged the committee to commence advocacy and recruit volunteers within the age bracket of 18- 35years. According to the Executive Director , Inatimi Peter Odio, Volunteers are expected to reside in the LG and wards, non partisan and must be knowledgeable of their terrains. 81 DIvision Troops Intercept 792 Parcels Of Indian Hemp

 Troops of 81 Division have foiled an attempt to smuggle Seven Hundred and Ninety-Two (792) parcels of illicit drugs suspected to be Cannabis Sativa ( Marijuana) into Ogun State at a checkpoint along the Ilaro-Benin Republic Border following an intelligences driven operation. This was contains in a statement made available to newsmen by the Acting Deputy Director 81 Division Army Public Relations - Major Olaniyi Osoba. The parcels of Indian hemp were concealed in a truck coming from the Volta Region of Ghana. By Isaac Eranga Mrs. Louisa Eikhomun-Agbonkhese - Author of the Book Another milestone has been recorded in the fight against domestic violence, as a book titled "Surviving Domestic Violence in Relation to Laws on Protection in Nigeria" was launched penultimate weekend in Benin City. Speaking, the author of the book - Mrs Louisa Eikhomun-Agbonkhese said apart from laws relating to domestic violence, the book is also a collection of her experiences as a victim of intimate partner abuse.  Narrating her ordeal in the hands of her abusive intimate partner, Mrs Eikhomun-Agbonkhese said: "When I had intensities of abuse, I asked myself- 'I'm I blind?
