Edo FA Boss Congratulates FIFA newly badged Referee- Faith Aisosa Agbons

By Isaac Eranga, Indigenous Journalist Edo State Football Association Chairman, Mr Fred Newton Erhunmwunsee has congratulated  Faith Aisosa Agbons on her elevation as FIFA badged Referee.  The Edo born referee Faith Aisosa was among the 30 new referees who got their FIFA badges bestowed on them on Wednesday in Abuja.  Faith Aisosa's FIFA recognition on Wednesday makes her the second FIFA referee in Edo State after FIFA Efosa Igudia.  The Edo Football Association boss said that the elevation of Referee Faith Aisosa is good news for Edo Football Referees Council and the entire Edo Football family. "Edo is home of football and deserves to have more FIFA graded Referees. We congratulate our sister and celebrate with her on her new status which is a plus to us. Sustainability of Okomu National Park: SCERA hold Participatory Management Workshop

By Isaac Eranga As part of effort in developing a framework that will help in development of a management and implementation plan for the Okomu National Park (ONP), a 2-day workshop on participatory management planning for the Okomu National Park has been held in Okomu, Edo State. The workshop was put together by the Society for Sustainability and Conservation Education for Rural Areas (SCERA), in collaboration with National Park Service (NPS), Okomu National Park, and Okomu National Park Management Plan Steering Committee, with support from the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) and the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF). The workshop brought together key stakeholders representing various communities surrounding the park and officers of the National Park Service (NPS), led by the Conservator of Park (CP)- Mr. Lawrence Eghosa Osaze. Speaking, an Independent Consultant Ruth Akagu said the workshop was meant to develop a management plan for the international park.
