Curfew declared in LGA in Kaduna as herdsmen reportedly kill 20

At least 20 people were killed by herdsmen in Godogodo, a settlement in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state. The attack took place between Saturday and Sunday when the herdsmen laid a siege on the community.

The herdsmen reportedly razed the community, leading to tensions in Kafanchan, the capital of Jema’a local government council which has a majority Christian population and minority Muslim population.

The Interim Management Committee, IMC, Chairman, of Jema’a LGA, Dr. Humble Katuka, on Sunday announced a 24-hour curfew on the council.
