Edo Governor-elect's Wife, Betsy Obaseki prays for Edo at the Holy Ghost night

Ahead of the swearing-in of the Governor-elect of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki yesterday stormed the November Holy Ghost service of the Redeemed Christian church along Lagos-Ibadan expressway where she sought the face of God.

The Governor-elect's wife who prayed for the peace, tranquillity, progress and development of Edo state in the soon-to-be sworn-in administration said it became necessary since God controls the affairs of men and with him, all things are possible.

According to her, "the bible directs us to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for all people, for Kings and for all in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, Godly and dignified in everyway.

"It was a praise and worship session as well as prayers. It offered me opportunity to take Edo state to God in prayers because I believe our prayers for Nigeria and Edo state in particular would turn the current situation around for good.

"The word of God says we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and Edo state or Nigeria by extension, is our Jerusalem. There is no better time to pray for our dear state and country than now", she noted.

Earlier, the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye after his message titled: "helpers of destiny", led the children of God in prayers, worship and thanksgiving
