Benin City: A House of Representatives candidate under the umbrella of the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), in the 2019 general elections, Hon. Mrs. Ebun Tracy Agol of the Etsako Federal constituency, has promised to bring equal representation of all regions in the constituency if elected as their representative in the Federal House of Representatives. She said her constituency had lacked equal representation since the beginning of democratic era in Nigeria.

Hon. Ebun Agol said to make this possible, she will evolve regular town hall meetings involving the various regions of the constituency. This according to her, will help in feeling the people’s pulse, that is, knowing what they think and need.

“The town hall meetings will help as an effective feedback mechanism in a bid to determining the actual needs of the people.

“Though the representatives make laws, our role is to ensure that bills passed are favourable to the people by joining voices to other law makers. Our oversight function will also ensure that bills passed are implemented “, Hon. Agol said.

The House of Representatives hopeful also assured that her representation will bring about federal presence, in the area of functional healthcare centers and electricity. She called on the people of Etsako Federal Constituency to support and vote for her, saying a vote for her will guarantee development in all regions of the constituency.

Hon. Ebun Agol appealed to the people to shun all manner of vote selling. “We have been deceived enough – they give us salt, clothes, stipend, to take over our future. Enough of the deception. God is faithful, we are able”, she said.
