Edo indigenous movement, worldwide appoints new Executive

Benin City: As part of the effort in repositioning the Edo socio-cultural group known as the Edo indigenous movement worldwide, new members of the executive have been appointed to manage the affairs of the group. The newly appointed executives include:

Vice President – Vice President (Edo South)- Mr. Ben Owen Ifionayi

General Secretary: Barrister Chris Otasowie

Director of Publicity-  Prince Sony Idemudia

 Assistant PRO- Comrade Fred Uyiosa

General Financial Secretary- Mr Samson Omoragbon

General Organizing Secretary/Social secretary- Mr Sunny Jegede

Assistant Social Secretary- Mrs comfort Osifo

General Treasurer- Miss Eva Omosimua

This was made known to newsmen in Benin City by the Edo indigenous leader and President of Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), also known as Edo Indigenous Movement (EIM) worldwide, Chief Dr. Bishop Omogiade Enoyiogiere Edokpolo.

According to Chief Dr. Edokpolo, "the responsibilities of the newly appointed executive members include increasing the visibility of EPIA around the globe thereby bringing about an increase in the membership-base of the organization; drafting of an action plan that will guide the activities of EPIA/EIM worldwide in 2021; coordination of overseeing of EPIA activities through the support of country coordinators; coming up with activities that will help promote the rich cultural value of Edo people; etc. The EPIA leader urged them to comply with EPIA/EIM guidelines and directives in carrying out their duties.


Speaking on behalf of the new executives, the Vice President (Edo South), Mr. Ben Owens Efionayi who hail from Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state, thanked the founder of EPIA for finding them worthy in piloting the affairs of the association.

“I would like to thank you all for the opportunity and privileges given to us serve as the good people of Edo State under the platform of this historic movement and family of EPIA.

“We humbly accept this role and promise to give our very best towards achieving our set goals and objectives. We also hope to count on the support of our energetic President as well as the lovely and wonderful members of this global movement in order to deliver for the wonderful people of Edo land”, the CEO of Ben Owens TV international network said.
