Edo Indigenous Movement condenm the dysfunctional disposition of Edo law makers
The Edo Indigenous Movement (EIM) worldwide, also known as Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA), penultimate weekend condenmed the nonchalant attitude displayed by please members of the Edo State House of Assembly on August 6th, 2020, describing it as infantile and disrespectful to the rule of law.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the indigenous Publicity and Research Committee Chairman- Mr. Nelson Osazee Godwin.
"Edo indigenous people calls for peace and order in the State House of Assembly and condenm every crisis brewed by political parties to continue to divide Edo Indigenous people. The House is supposed to be a home for law makers and an epicentre for law and order in the State and not an animal kingdom.
"EPIA frowns at the idea of supposed law makers in Edo state demonstrating as political prostitutes because of their selfish interest without putting the interest of Edo Indigenes first. This is highly unacceptable and EPIA/EIM will be looking into attracting some consequences to befall them in the future.
"We call on all legislators in the State to put their hands on deck and maintain peace for the interests of all Edo Indigenous people worldwide.
"The idea of our law makers making Edo State House of Assembly look like a lawless Assembly is unacceptable by EPIA/EIM, especially now that it has become an habit for them. It happened during Oshiomole's administration, now Obaseki's administration.
"The Edo Indigenous people did not elect you to make us a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. You all should know that Edo is being embarrassed by your actions and this habit can no longer be tolerated", said EPIA
