NPFL,NNL; Referees under watch, says NRA

The Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, has unearthed a heartwarming information that would rekindle confidence in the minds of stakeholders of Nigeria Football.

The revelation that would elicit excitement is the close watch of referees handling both divisions of the Nigerian leagues  by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and the NRA, which the President of the NRA, Otunba Tade Azeez said is meant to ensure perfection on the field of play.

Giving further insight, the NRA President opined that the involvement of Referee Assessors in the NNL and NPFL is part of the strategic modules to know what match officials do at centres.

He therefore stated that all reports from the Assessors are veritable tools for the growth and development of referees as well as to ascertain how the referees manage the game.

Otunba Tade Azeez while wishing all members best of the Yuletide season prayed for journey mercies and good luck to all in their matches.

Apparently aware of the interest the all Akwa Ibom pairing; Akwa Starlets recently baptized Dakada International vs Akwa United in Uyo would generate, some of the best hands in the NRA active referee bracket have been deployed to officiate the game. Leading the squad is Lagos based Quadri Adebimpe, an awaiting Elite A CAF rated  FIFA referee to be assisted by Samuel Pwadutakam of the Adamawa Council who recently was part of the officials that handled the final of the  CAF U23 Championship in Egypt. The all FIFA appearance also have Bose Momoh as the Assistant Referee 2  and Bashiru Salisu the Fourth Official. The quarted will be supervised by a former  chairman of Edo state chapter,  National Union of Teachers, NUT, Comrade Mike Uhuawanwho.

A soldier, Markus Bwasi will be at the centre to control proceedings between Nassarawa FC vs Heartland in Lafia assisted by Cross River's Saviour Ogar and Adebiyi Ayodeji of Oyo while the Director of Sports of Ondo State, Chief  Wande Fabuluje is  Assessor.

In Porthacourt, a woman referee of the FIFA cadre, Hannah Eliagwu, alongside renowned international Assistant Referee, Abel Baba and others supervised by a female assessor, Jamila Buhari are match officials for the Rivers Utd vs Sunshine Stars of Akure.
