Peace corps extol the leadership quality of Esama

Peace Corps of Nigeria, yesterday, congratulated chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom at 85th just as it described him as an embodiment of peace and empowerment to humanity.

The national commandant of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Amb. Dickson Akoh said this during a courtesy call to the House of Igbinedion on his 85th birthday celebration.

The national commandant represented by the Edo State commandant, Mr. Franklin Ehigbadon said they decided to facilitate with the Esama for who he is and the role he has been playing for the state, Nigeria and for humanity.

According to him "Esama at 85th is worthy of celebrating. We pray that God should continue to protect him and grant him good health and many more years to  continue to serve humanity",

The high point of the visit was the declaration of the Esama with the  Peace Corps regalia.

He was also bestowed with the award of state patronship, Peace Achiever and Empowerment.

Responding, the Esama of Benin thanked the members of Peace Corps for felicitating  with him and promised to ensure that the Corps is signed into law in Nigeria.

I see this as a good move on the part of the Edo State Commandant of the Peace Corps Of Nigeria,because this is one way to continue to encourage people like Esama to continue to do more.
