Edo Refs bemoan the death of Coach Ogbeide

Edo State Football Referees Council has described as great shock the demise of Coach Solomon Ogbeide who died on Sunday 19th May, 2019.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Council Chairman Mr. Johnbull Okundolor and made available to News men in Benin  by the State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Isaac Eranga.

The statement described the death as a colossal loss to Nigerian football. "We encourage the bereaved family, friends, Edolites and his present club, Lobi Stars to take solace, as Mr. Solomon lived a good life while on earth.

"His impart on Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin when he was the team's coach, is still being felt, hence the history of the club cannot be complete without mentioning the name of Tactician Ogbeide. He is one of the best tactician Edo State has produced.

"Is on record that he won the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League title with Lobi Stars of Makurdi and succeeded to the group stage of this season's CAF Champion's League", the statement said.
