Edo Aiteo/FA Cup: Fans Hail Edo Refs

Football fans in Benin have commended members of the Edo State Football Referees Council for the way they officiated various matches in the just concluded Edo Aiteo/FA cup finals, which was played at various centers in Benin.
Speaking, Mr. Emeka Obi described the performance of the referees as superlative and called for its sustenance. "I was surprised with the way the referees in Edo State officiated the just concluded FA Cup finals, their performance was superlative. I want to use this medium to urge them not to slip from this standand as the sky indeed, will be their limit", Mr. Obi said.
Also speaking, a footballer in one of the football clubs that took part in the competition, Ekhator Wilson, said a new dawn has emerged in Edo Football Referees Council. He said this was made evident in the way and manner the referees officiated the just concluded Aiteo Cup in Benin.
"What surprised me most was the introduction of referee assessors by this present leadership of the State referee council. I know that our referees in Edo State, will go places," said Mr. Ekhator.
Other respondents who spoke with the Social Reporters included Bendel Insurance coach, Baldwin Bazuaye, a football enthusiasts Mike Enabulele, Ms. Joy Igbineweka, a youth leader Bismark Ejiata, Edo Sports Writers Chairnan Comrade Ahmed Agbona.
They all commended the present innovation of Edo Referees Council under the leadership of Mr. Johnbull Nosa Okundolor. They described Mr. Okundolor as round peg in round hole. They urged him to continue to thrive higher in taking Edo football to enviable position in Nigeria and beyond.
