The Edo State Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has commended Senator Matthew Urhoghide  representing Edo south Senatorial District in the National Assembly for diligently delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.

This commendatîon was made by the Edo State CNPP Chairman, Prince Roy Oribhabor in Benin City while fielding questions from Social Reporters. He said Senator Urhoghide has redefined legislative representation in policy formulation and implementation, through his engagements in empowerment, scholarship for indigent students, grants to market women irrespective of their political affiliation and construction of bridge at Umegbe  village in ward 2 of Oredo local government Area, to ease the stress of the locality.

He said research conducted by Edo CNPP to assess the utilizations of Senator Matthew Urhoghide constituency projects was unprecedented.

"The testimonies from people across the district gave birth to this commendation. This is the first time we are moved to appreciate and commend serving senator or any person in position of authority; therefore, Matthew Urhoghide has demonstrated character, competence and commitment that deserves commendation", he said.

The political activist  said it has become necessary to call on Edo State senators to emulate the representative prowess of Senator Matthew Urhoghide.

"After critical evaluation of the three senators representing Edo state in the Upper chamber of the National Assembly based on representation and empowerment and feed back mechanism, Senator Matthew Urhoghide representing Edo south senatorial district came out first hence, our call for emulation.

Finally, we call on him not to derail but keep on the struggle of sincere representation, more focus and remain a shining light before his contemporary. Edo CNPP is proud of his representation", said the CNPP Chairman.
