Angry Mob Kill Suspected Female Suicide Bomber In Bauchi

Angry youths yesterday killed a suspected female bomber at a crowded Muda-Lawan market in Bauchi metropolis.
The mob descended on the victim after she resisted being screen by vigilante group at the entrance to the market.
The development attracted the attention of traders and customers.
Our correspondent, who visited the scene of the incident, reported that the irate youths resisted attempt to spare the suspected bomber as they descended on her by setting her ablaze before the police team could arrive.
One of the youths told newsmen that not sparing the suspect would serve as a lesson to others still on the prowl.
During the incident several people had to run for dear life as shop owners hurriedly shutdown to avoid the wrath of the angry youths.
It would be recalled that Bauchi State has witnessed several blasts similar to Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states since the emergence of Boko Haram.
Bauchi State Police Command spokesman, Mohammed Haruna, confirmed the incident.
He said: “Information at our disposal revealed that a yet-to-be identified lady, who allegedly refused to be screened at the entrance of Muda Lawal Market, Bauchi, was attacked by irate youths, who took law into their hands and set her ablaze, as a result she died on the spot before rescue could come.”
Haruna added that police patrol teams, including the Explosives Ordinance Disposal Unit had to rush to the scene to disperse the rampaging crowd and restore normalcy in the area.
