Irresponsive governance in Nigeria: Labour Party is set to change the narrative, says Kelly Ogbaloi

By Isaac Eranga

Benin City: The Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Edo State chapter, Comrade Kelly Stephen Ogbaloi said it was time for the people of Nigeria to change the ugly narrative of irresponsive governance bedeviling the nation since the inception of the present ruling party. He said the candidacy of Mr. Peter Obi is a proof that the LP is 100 percent ready to change the country's present status quo.

Kelly Ogbaloi while speaking with journalists in Benin said Nigeria was  blessed with rich human and material resources but majority of her citizens live in abject poverty. He said the poverty trend will however reverse when LP is voted in at all levels of governance.

"The country is really in a bad state. This is the time to change the narrative, and we are ready for the change. All we need do has been done. LP at the grassroot level is functional. Let's continue to love ourselves and work together to change our status quo.

"We are ready to welcome collaborative effort from any group and constructive criticisms on actualizing the dream of a new Nigeria. As I said earlier, we are ready to change the narrative.

"We appreciate the Ova of Benin for the time he gave to our Principal Peter Obi, when he visited Edo State. We are particularly grateful", the Edo LP boss said.
