Oredo LG Boss Hails Federated Chapel of Edo NUJ Over Investigative Reporting

Benin City: The Head of Service (HOS), of Oredo local government council, Benin city, Edo state - Comrade Kessington Osifo, has commended members of Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, over their zest in investigating news items before going to press.

Comrade Osifo said this when the newly elected executives and some members of the chapel paid him a courtesy visit in Benin City. He said previous reports from members of the chapel had spur him to do more in the local government council.

According to the Oredo boss, "I love the way you carry out investigative journalism, let there be balance; when I'm not doing well, criticize me".

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the chapel - Comrade Mercy Onyewenli informed the HOS that their coming was to familiarize with him and to seek areas of partnership with the Council. She said the chapel will not relent in reporting the people-oriented projects being executed by Oredo local government council.
