Benin City: As part of preparation for the Edo Indigenous Home Coming Global Festival bid for January, 2022, the Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA) also known as Edo Indigenous Movement (EIM) Worldwide has appointed Mr. Spice Vision Edosa as Edo Indigenous Festival Diaspora Artists'Coordinator. Mr. Edosa is the CEO of  Spice Vision Music House Entertainment Limited.

This was contained in a letter signed by the Edo Indigenous Leader and President of EPIA, Chief Dr. Bishop Omogiade Enoyiogiere Edokpolo and made available to newsmen in Benin City.

"The responsibility of the 2022 Edo Indigenous Festival Diaspora Artists' Coordinator is to coordinate all the diaspora artists for the upcoming Edo Indigenous Home Coming Global Festival for EPIA/EIM worldwide. He is expected to carry out all activities and transactions based on the approval of EPIA/EIM President and the Elders' Council", the letter said.

Confirming his acceptance of the appointment, Mr. Spice Vision Edosa said he was overwhelmed and excited for the appointment.

"When the Edo indigenous leader and President of EPIA, first chatted me asking if I would accept this honor, I didn't really know what to make of it. And then he said that the EPIA is a Movement, that will unite all Edo Indigenes across the world, and as a musical artiste and producer, that always preaches unity in one way or the other by my songs and performances, and as Edo ambassador, I deemed it fit to be an instrument to channel this course.

"These past few days have been like something out of a movie, and every day that I wake up seeing folks added to the whatsapp group, and many others who want to join not considering the size of the movement, I'm really motivated. I could have never dreamed that I'd lived to see a time, where we have a sustained national unity about the real agenda of Indigenous Edos all over the world, but here we are.

"What this moment has solidified for me more than any other time in my life, is that anything is possible even in these gloomy, untenable political times, I still feel like anything is possible.

"That's why I'm so desperate to change the narrative about Edo indigenous people, by some few persons that felt they have resources to do what ever they like, but Edo should be first before anything else.

"And finally we have a language that provides some space for that, AKUGBE-ORETIN, We have already survived some of the worst things in the part of Edo Entertainment Home/ Diaspora, and we're still here. It didn't kill us – it made us stronger. It is a mistake to think of this as a moment. Movements are long and they are built over time, but in this we are already succeeding and successful. And now we are in a moment when the whole world will know the true word of the " Cradle of Black civilisation. Let's not squander this moment by allowing others to define it for us.

"For we EPIA members of different clans in Edo state, we are building something that doesn't exist before now, that is to mean we decided how we live our lives the way it will please us, We are mass and we are EPIA", Mr. Spice Vision Edosa said.

He promised to serve as the constitution of EPIA stipulates.
