Security of lives and property: EPIA to partner Edo Police
By Isaac Eranga
As part of Edo Indigenous Movement known as Edo Progressive Indigenous Association (EPIA) commitment in securing the lives and properties of people living in Edo State, EPIA has concluded plans to collaborate with the Edo State Police Command led by CP Johnson Babatunde Kokumo.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of Publicity and Research Committee, Mr Osazee Nelson Godwin. According to the statement, the partnership became expedient especially as the 2020 Edo Governorship election get closer.
"The security of lives and properties is uppermost in our heart, that is why we have mapped out plans to discuss with the Commissioner of Police on ways we can assist in mitigating crimes and criminality in our dear State.
"The Police need the support of all well meaning individuals and groups in fighting crimes and criminality. We want the security that is obtainable in Western countries to be replicated here in Edo State. It is only absolute security that will create the enabling environment for investments thereby creating employment opportunities for our teeming populations.
"This partnership will also help to promote and secure businesses that are done at night, especially food vendors around major motor parks, and night clubs", the Statement said.
EPIA want to use this medium to call on all Edo indigenes to support the association in moving our dear Edo State forward.
