Edo Referees Council condole with NFF over the death of Ex-Super Eagle

The Edo State Football Referees Council (EFRC) has sympathised with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) over the demise of former Super Eagles forward, Isaac Promise who passed on while on a gym in the United States of America.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Chairman Mr. Johnbull Nosa Okundolor and made available to newsmen in Benin City by the Public Relations Officer Dr. Isaac Eranga. The release described the news of Isaac Promise's death as a great shock and pray God to grant the NFF and family, the fortitude to bear the loss.



"We know Isaac Promise to be very pacy and skillful and a team motivator. He was tactically apt and very respectful to referees on and off the field of play.

"He was the Captain of the Beijing Olympics’ Eagles squad that won silver. He was also the Captain of the U-20 Holland 2005 Silver winning team. Our  thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. May his soul rest in eternal peace", the release said.

Isaac Promised slumped on the gym in US. He was age 31.
